TROUBLESHOOTING

Most of the support calls we receive are as a result of one of two things happening;

  • The power to your alarm system has been compromised. This can be as a result of a power cut to your property, the electricity supply having been  switched off, or in the case of wireless systems, a battery isn't providing the necessary voltage to power an important part of your system.
  • The IP address for your broadband has changed, usually because you've changed your router or your Internet service provider (ISP).

We very rarely receive calls regarding anything else although false triggers should be mentioned. A false trigger is when your alarm is activated for no apparent reason. This usually happens as a result of

  • Children or pets entering a guarded area while the alarm is armed
  • Spiders or insects moving across one of the PIR motion detector sensors
  • A window or door being left open creating a movement of warm air

So what follows are appropriate responses to some common fault codes that may appear on your keypad and what to do if your system isn't behaving itself.

OH AND DON'T FORGET... if you ever need to talk to someone or are slightly unsure about any aspect of your new system, there’ll always be someone at the end of a phone (9:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday).

It’s really quite easy to pair your new tags and / or fobs to your keypad. You’ll need to go into the Master Menu on your keypad and the rest of the procedure can be found under 'Adding A New User' on page 13 of the Enforcer V10 user manual which can be downloaded here.

Resolving error codes is going to be a unique part of our troubleshooting page. It's going to take a while to organise so please bear with us. It's COMING SOON, as they say!

And while we provide this page as a 'first port-of-call', Security Solutions UK offers 24-hour emergency call-out, so in the unlikely event that your system does encounter a problem, you can always just call us. We'll try our best to resolve your issue over the phone but if required, we'll organise someone to come out to you within four hours, whatever the time of day or night.
